The products and services from Williams Classic Chassis Works are based on over 50 years of car building experience that originated with the construction of a '55 Chevrolet hardtop in 1963.

Intended for street/strip use with a 283" small block and 4 speed, it ran mid twelves at Irwindale Raceway in the "E" Gas category back then. Still in the family, that same car runs regularly at nearby Pomona and other NHRA Division 7 drag strips in the Super Street category.

In 1971, Earle Williams opened a chassis shop, initially building a variety of race and street cars, from AA altereds, roadsters, all sorts of door slammers, Bonneville coupes and sedans, even a few boats, Harleys, and offroad race cars and trucks.

His own personal hot rod was a street legal, blown alcohol- burning '71 Vega Panel. Along with years of practical experience, a background in Engineering and High Performance Naval Aircraft Structural Mechanics, combined for a great background in developing our current line of chassis components for '55-'57 Chevrolet passenger cars.

In 1988, Earle designed and manufactured the first dropped spindle for the '55-'57 Chevrolet. Williams also is the originator of many other chassis components such as their rear spring pocket kit, ground clearance big and small block headers, both standard and ¾" forward engine side mount kits, mini-tub kits, firewall cover kits, and much more.

Our goal has always been to manufacture and inventory the finest chassis and components anywhere for the '55-'57 Chevrolet. These high standards also extend to our complete, full service chassis design and fabrication facilities as well as customer relations. We are genuinely interested in serving you by offering you our knowledge and products.

We are always interested in your input so we can better serve you. Williams Classic is also developing chassis products for Gasser style chassis, to be available in the near future. Watch for progress on our 1956 409 Chevy, 1955 Chevy gasser, and 1967 Nova. We have an advantage by installing and developing what we offer on a daily basis, insuring you the highest quality.

Williams Classic uses the finest materials, components, and manufacturing processes. All products and chassis fabrication uses TIG welding and grade 8 hardware, detailed to show standards.
